Hades is a harsh father and is often demanding and critical of Nico, whom he constantly compares to Bianca, and rarely shows Nico that he does in fact care for and love him. After the Battle of Manhattan in The Last Olympian, though, Hades finally views his son with pride and respect, and later admits that Nico had brought his house honor then. As a result, Hades begins trusting Nico with much more information, and even tells him about Camp Jupiter and the Roman demigods, trusting Nico not to share this knowledge with anybody else until the time is right. Hades might have foreseen that Nico was destined to find the Doors of Death and lead the Seven Heroes of Olympus there.

We can assume PS5 and Xbox Series X/S are planned, with last-gen systems and the Switch being up in the air at the moment. More Gods could be making their appearances in Hades 2 in the future, as we’ve only gone as far as visiting Erebus. The game’s also in a testing period, meaning that we haven’t seen even half of our journey to the House of Hades just yet. But I wouldn’t worry about the future as what we’ve seen up until here is nothing short of incredible. The coolest uncle ever is back as the God of the Sea rushes to aid his niece in a time of peril. With the Slip effect added to his Boons, Melinoë can bounce her foes back to the walls while making them more vulnerable to damage.

Her main gimmick is the Morph effect, which turns enemies into puny little creatures for a limited time. Another daughter of Nyx, Nemesis is Retribution Incarnate and dwells on the Crossroads, helping to raise and train Melinoë until she manages to stand up against the Titan thread. And just like his Mother once did, he seems to be inclined to maintain order in the Underworld by helping the youngest of Hades’ descendants, although not directly through battle. Being one of the original Gods who defied the Titans and slayed them originally, she resumes her role once more in the war against Chronos with her Scorch-inflicting boons.
Chronos, along with Hades and other Godly figures, have escaped the Underworld to begin a war on the Gods of Olympus which Melinoe seeks to prevent. Sleep Incarnate lives up to his name in the sequel, as he’s constantly seen sleeping, of all things. Waking Hypnos up is probably one of the game’s main tasks in the future.

Unfortunately, their Doors of Death are in the House of Hades, which is somewhere in Epirus, Greece. Getting there means crossing paths with many ancient and angry mythical beings—boulder-hurling monsters, a gigantic sea turtle, and a sharpshooter bandit with truly disgusting feet, among others—most of whom have chosen to side with Gaea against the Olympians.
